Training Blog #3 Happy Halloween from the training team

Dusting off our broom sticks this week at the training centre and preparing our masks for tomorrow night (Not that we need it!). We’ve had a Spooktacular week and have welcomed a plethora of amazing new staff at the training centre this week. Including 2 new nurses for Seacroft Green Care Centre! We are so lucky to have a nurse led environment with a number of nurses present day in day out, with such a wealth of experience for the people in our care. Our induction is person centred focussed, and is suitable for all new starter staff. This week we welcomed, carers, nurses and housekeepers. Kristie has trained over 100 staff via zoom training this week, and we even have repeat offenders 😊, for instance – one of our community leads over at Seacroft Grange has enrolled on to every single title delivered by zoom! There has been fun and frolics on the camera INCLUDING a fun game of family fortunes. We are so impressed by the attitude and uptake to some of the zoom courses, so much so I will be holding a monthly prize draw for staff attending training. Look out for Octobers winner on the app next week!!

The training team have also been loving looking at all the amazing Halloween decorations and pumpkin competitions held within the homes. I can see there is a lot of competition and hopefully the winner will be delighted with a few tricks or treats. Well done to all residents involved!
