Resident Wellbeing Blog #3 CHRISTMAS
Welcome to our Christmas blog… if you just absolutely love the festive period like us, stick around and read about what we have planned this December at Seacroft Green Care Centre.
The activities team have been super busy preparing for the busy month ahead. Christmas cards have been written with an added surprise for relatives, we’re decorating the communities next week with the help of residents (we are basing some of our fitness activities around Christmas and using Christmas decorations to build up strength) and today, we’ve celebrate Elf day with fancy dress and lots of games (we even got Home Manager Clare involved – how fab do we look in this photo?)
Next Friday we’re all wearing Christmas t-shirts to celebrate Christmas Jumper day and we have asked families to send in jumpers for their relatives so they can join in too – if you haven’t already then this is your reminder! We have also got a German Market Day planned, lots of mince pies and carols, hot chocolates (a popular one at Seacroft Green) and of course the sweet trolley to deliver a variety of sweet treats to all communities. For our residents that are celebrating Hanukkah, we have been in touch with a Rabbi who will be helping us celebrate (via zoom) between 10th December and 18th December.
So there you have it, there are lots of Christmas and Hanukkah based activities coming up and we’re all very excited! Make sure to follow us on Facebook to see what we’re getting up to daily – we love to see your comments!
